About
The people behind the directory
Overland Addiction exists because comparing truck campers used to mean forty browser tabs and a spreadsheet. We built the page we wished existed.
Why this site exists
Truck camper shopping is oddly hard. Every manufacturer publishes its own specs in its own format, half of them are small shops with a single web page, and nobody puts weights, prices and floor plans side by side. So we started collecting them. Today the directory covers more than forty brands across North America, from lightweight pop-up toppers to full hard-side rigs, with a map to find the builders near you.
The site is run from Ucluelet, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, by people who actually camp out of these things. That shapes what we cover: the questions we answer are the ones we had ourselves before buying.
Who builds it
Overland Addiction is designed, built and maintained by The Great Folks, a small studio that builds websites and grows their search traffic for businesses that would rather not think about either. This directory doubles as their working lab: the comparison tools, the interactive brand map, and the search optimisation that brings most readers here were all built and tested on this site first.
If you run an outdoor, overland or recreation business and want a site that ranks and actually converts, talk to The Great Folks. Tell them Overland Addiction sent you.
How we stay independent
No manufacturer pays to be listed, and no one can buy a better position in the directory. Some gear links earn us a small commission; the full rules we hold ourselves to are on the affiliate disclosure page.
