What we collect when you use this site, why, and how to have it deleted. Last updated November 2, 2026.

The short version

We measure how the site is used so we can make it more useful. We keep your email only if you give it to us. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not run ads.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools. Both set cookies or similar storage in your browser.

  • Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a search engine or another site), your device and browser type, and your approximate location.
  • PostHog records how the directory is used: filters, searches, which campers you open and which manufacturer links you click. It also makes session recordings, a replay of clicks, scrolling and page changes, which we watch to find confusing or broken parts of the site. Text you type into form fields is masked in those recordings. PostHog also reports errors your browser hits on our pages.

You can block both with any standard content or tracker blocker, and the site works the same without them.

Forms

  • Newsletter: we store the email address you enter so we can send you new brands and reviews. Nothing else is attached to it.
  • Contact form: we store your name, email, subject and message so we can reply.

Both are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. We do not add you to any other list, and we never share your email with manufacturers.

Other services on the page

  • Hosting: the site runs on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) to operate and secure the service.
  • Maps are drawn with Mapbox, which receives the map area you view.
  • Videos are embedded from YouTube. YouTube may set its own cookies once you play one.
  • Links to manufacturers and retailers:once you leave our site, their privacy policy applies. Some links are affiliate links, which can set a cookie on the retailer's site so a purchase is credited to us. See our affiliate disclosure.

Deleting your information

To unsubscribe, delete a message you sent us, or ask what we hold about you, get in touch with the email address you used. We will take care of it and confirm when it is done.

Changes

If we add a tool that collects something new, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
