About Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV)
Overland Explorer Vehicles was born out of frustration. OEV's founders, Arnold Baker and Mark Cymbaluk, started as a composite vehicle manufacturer serving Alberta's oil and gas industry. When the commodity cycle turned, they redirected that industrial-grade fabrication knowledge toward truck campers, a market they saw as dominated by products built for campground parking, not serious off-road travel. The result, developed and built at their Red Deer, Alberta factory, is a line of campers where the construction really is the product.
Every OEV camper is built around their Gen 4 Advanced Fiberglass Composite System, structural foam cores sandwiched between fiberglass skins and bonded to a powder-coated aluminum exoskeleton. There is no wood anywhere in the shell, cabinetry, or furniture, which eliminates the rot, delamination, and moisture creep that owners of traditionally framed campers eventually deal with. Wall insulation is rated R8 across the lineup, and every unit ships with a 5-year structural warranty backed by the factory that built it. OEV offers two core product families: the Back Country, a slide-in pop-up for factory truck beds ranging from half-ton to one-ton, and the Hudson Bay, a flatbed-mounted camper available in pop-up and hard-sided configurations for three-quarter-ton and one-ton platforms.
